Julene is passionate about the multi-faceted power of music and arts and it’s role in healing and global change. She also has a keen interest in how sound and music were used in ancient cultures. Her work is highly interdisciplinary as well as pragmatic and innovative. Her research areas include:

- Music Therapy from Antiquity to the Modern Day: Including Quantum Integrative Harmonic Therapies.
- Modalities of Musical Healing: In particular Trauma informed Art therapy and the use of sound-body work in PsychoSomatics.
- Music in Rituals/Mysticism.
- Music in Social Movements.
- Arts in Conflict Transformation.
- Social – Philosophical Science (in development)

Music of the Bauls of Bengal: Tantric Praxosophy & Embodied Sacred Dialogues
Julene documented and archived over 900 sacred songs from the Bauls of Bengal. She has also written papers on Tantric music and on Pala Gaan (teaching songs). Her work in Tantra/Tantric music has also highly influenced her research in modern psychosomatic therapy methods.
Music and Mysticism in Ancient Sumeria
The music of the ancient Summerians was based on number systems which linked astronomy and natural patterns in the earth and the human body. Ancient Sumerian Mythology stems from a deep philosophy and cosmology and hosts some of humanities oldest stories and symbols. Julene’s research into Ancient Summerian philosophy & music lead her to gain recognition from Ministries of Culture in the Middle East, resulting in her commission to produce The Land of Immortality theatrical production.
Ancient Greek Music, Philosophy & Healing: ‘Katharsi’, ‘Paean’, Numerical Cosmology and the Harmonic Music Therapy of the Pythagoreans.
Julene adores Ancient Greek Music & Philosophy and has a profound respect for the Ancient Greek Healing Tradition. Julene has given in depth lectures and talks about Ancient Greek Healing methods, philosophy and Pythagorean Music. She is currently using TimeWaver Quantum Devices to develop harmonic therapies…the modern day advancement of Pythagorean music therapy.
Julene loves collaborating on research projects. She is currently working at the Laszlo Institute of New Paradigm Research. She has collaborated on cultural and historical research with Ministries of Culture, and has also applied her knowledge of healing modalities and therapies with a number of NGOs and philanthropic organisations.
Julene holds an MA in Music and Development from The School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, as well as an MMus in Advanced Composition from The Royal College of Music, is Certified in Art Therapy for Trauma Related Disorders and is also a certified Quantum Integrated Therapist with the TimeWaver Frequency devices.
